JENNIFER BENNETT

A graduate of the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington DC, Jennifer apprenticed with the renowned Alla Sizova and toured with the Kirov Ballet as a soloist. She has studied at American Ballet Theatre, the National Ballet School in Toronto and with Suzanne Farrell at the Kennedy Center. She has performed lead roles in the Nutcracker, La Bayadere, and the Monologue fro Legend of Love. Her experience includes teaching with Ballet Petite and Youth Performing Arts School in Bethesda, MD and worked as Artistic Director of the children’s Ballet Performance Company. Jennifer has performed in Ballet Minnesota’s productions of Swan Lake, the Classic Nutcracker, La Bayadere and Don Quixote. She as also performed in works by Andrew Rist including: Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, Mozart’s 40th Symphony and Gershwin’s Rhapsody In Blue
and Beethoven's 6th Symphony.

 

There is a very special bond that developes between a choreographer and the dancers he or she works with.  The visions of the choreographer rest solely in the ability of the dancer to transform dreams and thoughts into reality, into something an audience can watch, enjoy and appreciate.    - Andrew Rist -
